Privacy Policy
Last updated 25 September 2026. This policy explains what personal data Foundry Labs collects, why we hold it, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Foundry Labs is a trading name of NU LACE LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14050569. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
You can reach us at info@foundry-labs.co.uk or on 020 8163 5402. If you need a postal address for a formal request, ask and we will provide it.
What we collect, and when
When you visit this website
We use Framer’s built in analytics to understand how the site is used. It records page views, the page you arrived from, approximate location based on IP address, and your device and browser type.
This site sets no cookies. Our analytics stores a session identifier in your browser’s local storage so that repeat page views within one visit are not counted twice. That identifier is not linked to your name and we cannot use it to identify you.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. That is how the fonts are delivered.
There are no forms anywhere on this website. We do not collect names, email addresses or anything else through the pages themselves.
When you contact us
If you email or call us, we hold what you choose to send: your name, your email address or phone number, your company, and the contents of your message. We keep that correspondence so we can answer you and pick the conversation up again later.
When you book a call
Our booking link is hosted by Lark. When you book, you give your name, email address and a time to Lark’s scheduling tool, and it passes those to us. Lark’s own privacy terms apply to what happens inside their product.
When we prepare a brand appraisal
We produce free brand appraisals using publicly available marketplace data about a brand’s products and listings. That is business information rather than personal data. Alongside it we hold ordinary business contact details for the people we are speaking to.
When you become a client
We hold the contact details, correspondence and account information needed to run the engagement and to meet our accounting and tax obligations.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Every use of personal data needs a lawful basis. Ours are these.
Answering your enquiry. Legitimate interests, because you contacted us and expect a reply.
Site analytics. Legitimate interests, because we need to know whether the site works.
Business to business outreach. Legitimate interests, because we contact people in a professional capacity about services relevant to their role.
Running a client engagement. Performance of a contract.
Keeping accounting records. Legal obligation.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object. See your rights below.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Personal data is handled on our behalf by the suppliers that run our business:
Framer, who host this website and provide its analytics.
Lark, who provide our workspace and the call booking tool.
Google, who serve the fonts this site uses.
Our email provider and our accounting software, for correspondence and records.
Some of these operate outside the UK, including in the United States and in Asia. Where data leaves the UK it is protected by the safeguards those providers have in place, such as UK approved standard contractual clauses. We will also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become clients: up to two years from our last contact, then deleted.
Client records: for the length of the engagement, then seven years, because accounting records have to be kept.
Analytics: as retained by Framer under their own retention periods.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
correct anything that is wrong
delete it, where we have no continuing reason to keep it
restrict or object to what we are doing with it, including our legitimate interests
send it to you or another provider in a portable format
Email info@foundry-labs.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than made quietly.
